School Spirit:
One way to improve your student council is to have a spirit night! This benefits your StuCo because it encourages members to bond together. This leads to better results when working on projects together because members have already gotten the chance to get to know one another better. Students will be able to collaborate and successfully complete their work.
One idea on where to hold a spirit night could be at your local corn maze. A corn maze is a great opportunity for members to cooperate and problem solve. It would also be a really fun night filled with other various activities including haunted houses, petting zoos and a tractor tour! This is especially great because October and the halloween season is coming up!
Ideas for your StuCo:
Morning Greeters
One way to brighten up everyone's day, first thing in the morning, is by having morning greeters! Morning greeters are people who stand at the main entrances of the school and hold open the doors for students as they walk in. Morning greeters can offer words of encouragement or genuine "Good Mornings!" or "Hellos". Create a schedule with your council so that you have different people at the doors every couple weeks. To some students, these words go a long way and may make their day!
